The Shak Studio was formed in the early 2000s, as part of The Shak youth centre in Pewsey, Wiltshire. Initially a rehearsal room, it soon became a 24-track digital recording studio.

Today, the Shak Studio has the latest recording technology, and continues to offer free recording and learning opportunities. We aim to give young people free recordings without compromising on quality, and working to help promote and advise musicians on how to get noticed.

Our work introducing new people to the world of music with classes in recording, instrument care and DJing also helps build the local music culture.
